What is Spend Portability?
HorizonIQ Spend Portability gives you the option to switch infrastructure solutions—dollar for dollar—part-way through your contract.
This will help you avoid environment lock-in and achieve current IT infrastructure goals, while providing the flexibility to adapt for whatever comes next.
What services are eligible?
Bare Metal and Private Cloud services with minimum three-year contracts are eligible for the Spend Portability program.
When would I use it?
Spend Portability can be used for a variety of business needs including:
- Redeploy between HorizonIQ’s Bare Metal and Private Cloud services.
- Switch part or all of your current spend to new geographic regions.
- Redeploy applications on newer hardware.
How do we get started?
Spend Portability is available for customers with contracts of at least three years. It is automatically added to your contract at the time of sale.
This program only applies to Bare Metal and Private Cloud services. You may exchange spend starting 12 months after your contract start date or later, with a 90-day notice. Install fees may apply.

With HorizonIQ spend portability, the team migrates to a new high-density colocation solution knowing that, one year later, they can choose to transition part of their spend to a custom-build HorizonIQ Private Cloud should the need arise
